Debbie Feest
Equine Specialist
Debbie has loved horses since she was a little girl, and she has spent much of her life giving that love back — teaching riding and volunteering in equine programs for riders of all ages and abilities. The turning point came during one ordinary lesson with a boy who rarely spoke. One day he looked up at her and said, "This horse makes me strong." In that instant she understood the quiet power equines have to help people find their own. Where there are equines, there is healing.
A certified Equine Specialist in the Eagala modality, Debbie brings a lifelong passion for equines and a deep commitment to emotional wellness through the healing power of their shared connection. Her grounding in equine-assisted learning has shaped much of the thought leadership behind Hands for Healing Equine — from how equines reach veterans to how they hold space for grieving mothers — making her a valued voice and subject-matter expert whose perspective is as research-based as it is heartfelt.
Debbie is also a Series 65 licensed Investment Advisor with an entrepreneurial streak and a deep background in the financial industry — proof that the people who comprise our community come from every walk of life. That same generosity built the Kiah Foundation, which she founded to collect and deliver needed supplies to animal shelters and the families who depend on them.
Inspired by Suzanne MacPhail's vision, Debbie recently relocated to the area with her horse, Chyna, to help build and support our programs. She came for the work — and stayed for the herd.
